RP, China and the Milk Scare
Rep. Monico Puentevella, the chief of mission of the Philippine Olympic delegation said Filipino athletes who participated in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China should take medical tests to check if they drank melamine-laced milk during their stay in the communist state. Malacañang is reportedly inclined to heed the suggestion but only after tests have been conducted on Mr. & Mrs. Arroyo, Jose De Venecia, Gina De Venecia and Benjamin Abalos.

Ramon Revilla Sr. Suffers Stroke
Last Tuesday morning, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr. suffered a stroke or the sudden death of brain cells due to inadequate blood flow. The unfortunate incident thus debunked persistent rumor there was nothing inside Revilla’s skull.

Interviewed by GMA 7, Sen. Bong Revilla said, “Ang fear namin, baka hindi na mabalik ang dati niyang pag-iisip,” to which doctors at St. Luke’s said, “He won’t be losing much anyway.”

null My Lost Cellphone
Around 12:30pm today (Friday), I lost my Smart cellphone. Contacts, photos, music, videos, everything was there. Nope, there was no sleazy videos. (Thank goodness I erased them! *wink*) So I immediately visited a Smart wireless center and asked for a replacement SIM (I had a postpaid line). I then went to a phone store and scouted for a new one. It was getting late so I decided to just return tomorrow. In short, I wasn’t able to buy one. Around 10PM, someone buzzed me in Yahoo Messenger. I thought she’s a follower of my blog so I approved her “Add Request.” And then she started typing a message, “good evening sir, did you happen to lose a phone today?” I was stunned! She found my cellphone in a taxicab! Wow!

So allow me to salute this honest, Political Science major from the University of the Philippines who found my phone: Justine Millare. Nawa’y dumami pa ang mga katulad mo! Mabuhay ka!

I came to know of your blog just recently and I must say that I enjoyed the witty and acerbic comments that you usually dish out.

The melamine-laced drink test was a good piece. It was really okay. I also laughed at the Revilla jokes because he is a classic example of an air-head. However, I paused and something dawned on me. Perhaps it is insensitive to do this when an individual is sick and fighting for his life.

Perhaps it would be better to comment about his son. I will join you there.

Glad to hear you got your phone back. It’s really tedious and troublesome to lose something this important so I’m glad you are spared from all the trouble. Nice to know there are still people out there like Justine Millare. Sana ganyan lahat ng Pinoy (wishful thinking).

Mabuhay ka Justine. I lost a phone more than once already due to various circumstances and it is a hassle going to the phone company to pick-up a SIM replacement and rebuilding phone contacts not to mention the expense.

I should also write in my blog of the honest cab driver who returned my external hard drive I forgot in his taxi cab containing 10 years of my work, photos and videos of friends and family. I accidentally left it because I was busy chatting with someone online at that time when I alighted from his cab. By the way the taxi company was Ken-Nol.

At naisip ko rin na may pag-asa pa naman ang Pinoy, so why not prove that Filipinos can be honest people too despite what other people say? :)
