ABS-CBN Crew Abducted
Unconfirmed reports coming from the Abu Sayyaf lair revealed that abducted reporter Ces Drilon is being treated fairly. The terrorists have provided Ces with a well-lit room as well as enough supply of water, food, and cosmetics.
ABS-CBN enforced a news blackout on the abduction of reporter Ces Drilon. The news blackout had to be enforced until such time the Lopezes have decided on what to prioritize: pay the ASG’s ransom demand or refund Meralco consumers’ meter deposit.
ABS-CBN has imposed a news blackout on the abduction of reporter Ces Drilon and two cameramen. But don’t you worry – anytime now, Judy Ann Santos will appear on tv to explain us the situation.
Rumors have it the military might be able to locate Ces Drilon sooner than expected. They are now following a trail – formed by Ces Drilon’s high heels.
President Arroyo has instructed the military to exhaust all means to ensure the safety of Ces Drilon – an instruction she would have not likely ordered if it were Ted or Korina who was kidnapped.
Reports say the Abu Sayyaf Group is demanding a ransom of 10 million pesos for the release of abducted ABS-CBN news crew in Sulu. The Lopezes are unfazed though: what’s 10 million compared to 21.4 billion pesos they’ve overcharged from Meralco consumers?

If it were some other people who were abducted by the Abu Sayyaf Group, ABS-CBN would be relentless in reporting every minute detail of the abduction even if it endangered the lives of the kidnap victims. But now that their own people are the ones being held, they wanted news organizations to “embargo” the story. As Alanis Morissette would have asked: Isn’t it ironic?

I think it was planned. they didn’t ask for any military escorts considering na dun sila pumunta, hindi rin sila nagpasabi dun sa hotel na tinuluyan nila kung saan sila pupunta. They deliberately wanted to contact the rebels to get a great news story or to really divert attention from the meralco issue. It might be a conspiracy.
- Meralco is set to use the kidnapping of Ces Drilon as a better example of system loss; much better than that of melting ice cubes.
- ABS CBN is willing to pay the P10 M ransom provided it is charged to the system loss charge to be paid by Meralco consumers.

kritikenkoy is sooo funny! pero hindi naman si Juday ang ganid, yung manager nya na si Alfie Lorenzo, siyempre may talent fee, probably in the millions of pesos, kaya hayun, hatakin si Juday at pagbasahin ng script sa teleprompter! I still do not believe it – that Ces Drilon is truly kidnapped and is a kidnap victim. And if it is true – SHE DESERVES IT! And I do hope this becomes a wake up call to all the media personnel.
In terms of a conspiracy plot – aside from the view that it was to divert attention, may I add that perhaps we have another senatorial wannabee? I am telling you, chances are, she would be running for a senatorial seat in 2010!!
I say she deserves it because she had seen herself, which goes for other journalist – they have seen themselves as UNTOUCHABLE, INVULNERABLE, SUPERHUMAN. May I remind the Peninsula rebellion? They were asked to leave for a military operation and yet they still go on trying to do some coverage? They go as if bullets would spare them, as if they are bullet proofed against bullets or impervious to tear gas!
The media were asked to be quiet then, and these people all in the sake of the right to know – continued to be where they should not be.
Oh well, now…. is she really kidnapped? I do not know, SET UP screams to my head.

Agree with you on how ABS-CBN would through its reports jeopardize the success of operations or the safety of hostages on several occasions in the past. Funny how they’d probe the military re such details, unthinkingly. Now they want everyone to be quiet. I guess it’s a matter of “I love my own” where the network is concerned.

Pls. look no further as to the master mind of the kidnapping of Ms. Ces Drilon. Why not thoroughly investigate and dissect the whole ordeal. The culprit is no other than Vice Gov. Sahidulla herself. Before she was even in Politics, she and her husband together with their goons have been involved in a kidnapping in Zamboanga city. They too were staging and acting as emissaries to a kidnapped chinese businessman in zamboanga city. All the while they were pretending to be negotiators, but it was their own goons/people who abducted the businessman who was later freed and unharmed. there was “no ransom” money. But only prize money and a brand new car was given to the Sahidulla for a job well done from the family of the freed, innocent businessman.
Question: why were they involved with negotiation in the first place?
Did the abductors request for them? Yes. And just Like what Ces Drilon is in right now. They just done it again. And again, they are going to get away with it. Ms. Sahidulla has been very well rehearsed with the whole scenario.
I am not involved in politics, nor do I have anything against Vice Gov. Sahidulla. I am just a concerned citizen who happens to know a little bit of their background. which I urge you (media) should also give it some thought. Again, I am not asking you to believe in this statement. But it is something that is worth looking into, especially when human lives is at stake. And may be this time, the Vice Gov. is not in it for money, after all she is the Vice Gov. in Sulu. But perhaps, she’s in it for the “pogi points” so to speak.
May I ask this, why did the Abusayaf hand picked the so called negotiators? And why did Mayor Isnaji have to consult with Vice. Gov? Also, why do these Abusayaf have direct access to the cellphone of the Vice Gov.? Are they text mates, before the kidnapping?

Ces Drilon, hingi ka na lang tulong sa Magdalo, lalo sa kay Trillanes. Meron kasing balita na brother-in-”low” mo ang Senatong na un. Pero kung maligtas ka ng mga sundalong tinutuligsa mo palagi (na gagamitin siyempre ang tax na binabayad namin para sa mission na ito, na mailigtas ka) sana naman magpakabait ka na ineng. Wag masyadong garapalan ang pagka oposisyon mo. bigyan mo naman maski konting pagtingin ang administrasyon ni GMA, hane?!

Abu Sayyaf can be a militia of anybody whether by the government, local warlords, JI or anybody that might serve its purpose. They will never disappear as long as they get the right amount for the job. With the millions of dollars paid to them, I still wonder the likes of Sabaya, Robot et al died miserably and still their kins are still in poverty.
Ces is a well known personality plus she works for ABS, a situation that makes her an item of trade…IMHO the kidnapping was systematically planned, my conspiracy theory tells me GMA has a hand on this…well there’s only two popular GMA acronyms and your guess is as good as mine.
