THIS JUST IN: I tried starting a thread on this issue at PinoyExchange but guess what? A PEX moderator locked the thread. Oh I forgot, the Lopezes own PEX. They own everything in this country! Water, electricity, television, radio, everything! So the heck with freedom of expression.
The Philippine Star has been dragged into the cyberspace controversy involving the (literally high?) high-society Gucci Gang and Australian Brian Gorrell. The paper’s owner and editors are now being accused of coddling high society junkies and swindlers. Rumors say advertisers will soon pull out their ad placements from the Philippine Star – and will transfer them instead – to Brian’s blog.
Have you read the “Philippine Star” comments in Brian Gorrell’s blog? Because of the unflattering reactions against the Philippine Star, it sort of makes The Philippine Daily Inquirer look like the Kerygma Magazine of broadsheets.
Unconfirmed reports say another controversial society columnist, the OFW basher Malu Fernandez has sent a Thank You card to the Gucci Gang. She thanked them for making her look like a saint.

Tim Yap’s Break FROM Boracay
Controversial self-proclaimed columnist Tim Yap told the Philippine Entertainment Portal that this year he decided not to party in Boracay during the Holy Week. THIS JUST IN: Hotel owners in Boracay reported a 30% increase in revenues following a drop in the number of lifestyle columnists/clients who pay in ex-deals.
Tim Yap’s Break FROM Boracay II
Gucci Gang member Tim Yap revealed that when in Boracay, “I choose to go to the quiet side.” Of course! Why would you snort “stuff” in public? Are you nuts!?
Hope you enjoyed your long vacation. Brace yourself for another busy week!

nakakaadik talaga ang coke!
pero mas naadik ako sa blog ni brian! pasok sa banga!
That must be Tim Yap and one of his self-designed watches. From his Korean- pop-star-hair, to his watch, to his face, to the off-white (or “cream”), almost-ankle-length pseudo-cashmere coat I saw him wearing at Embassy in the tropical Philippines…….he is just one visual proclamation of what would have been, verbally, “I have it made. I have finally convinced myself that I am a Philippine aristocrat. I don’t care if nobody believes me, it’s what I believe that counts. I am a doyenne, a society icon.”
Baka naman yabang lang ng Gucci Gang yan. They claim it’s cocaine when maybe all they can afford is Nora Aunor’s favourite pulvuron pasalubong.
No… Brian’s blog also shed’s light to the partner in crime Celine Lopez, whether related or not to the Lopez of ABS CBN, I guess they would not want such a scandal to that name. GMA 7 has Tim Yap as one of their talents, so they would protect this wannabee. The Philippine Star would protect their writers even if in truth, they are stoned in coke! So I doubt if ever any of the other media would air about such a crime.
Nice thing about the Brian’s blog – no executive privelege for silence. No supreme court ruling, hell.. still waiting for some legal case…
It would be interesting to note that this too was posted on PEx.

One can only guess whether the mods will spot it and take it down. Or will the peeps involved pressure youtube to have the video removed?
you mentioned their names.
now, are they gonna sue you for libel?
lol
keep on heckling
how pathetic is our nation that the youth who hold a place in society trashes their power to contribute a little substance to it. How pathetic is Philippine Star to even reserve a whole page to losers who do not give a damn about anything that matters and abuse the power of the pen.. Can’t these editors determine which is quality and garbage when printing for nationwide consumption??? Whenever i used to browse Celine Lopez’s column, it never ceased to Amaze me how STAR editors give importance to small talk that’s such a huge waste of time. Hello!!! Wake up Philippines and have a little bit of purpose in life other than constantly replicating what rubbish is seen on Hollywood… By the way Malu Fernandez, you are no better than those losers. You are of the same screwed up mentality. You’re just as ignorant and narrow-minded as they are.. You belong to the same GUCCI Gang, preoccupied with self- delusions of superiority when really- your insecurities are showing that you need expensive stuff to feel good about yourself to cover up the fact that without all these material things, people might see you for what you really are- a worthless piece of shit. Please work on yourself first before you act and talk like a bitch, make sure you have every right to be or at least look like one..
Brian Gorrell made the decision to give money to DJ Montano when he didn’t have to. So whose should be the one to blame? Brian Gorrell. This trial by publicity is so unecessary.
Dang! Tim Yap came from San Nicholas, Binondo. He had two good examples to emulate from Shirley and Cindy. Cindy married a Yang to get into McDonalds. Shirley married some guy named Alex with relations to Belmonte.

–The dude made the decision out of good faith, to a person he trusted & loved (but eventually betrayed him). So if you made a bad decision like that, this (trial by publicity) shouldn’t be necessary? Geeze so lame!
a lover scorned? you’re probabaly right! But the fact remains that brian was duped by the very people he considered friends….i just hope you’ve learned your lessons well brian! i have admired these people before…so young and still has a long way of success ahead of them but i doubt now if ever they can stand on their own two feet considering the shame they deservedly earned to their credits. all the lies and hypocrisy behind a cloak of grandiousness….it really sucks!
la salista yan si yap. kanya naman pala puro porma.
Let’s keep the schools out of this. I’m from the other school, but I know many decent people from La Salle who haven’t let their money or social status get into their heads. Yung iba nga active pa in charities
chill out, cindy girl. we need la salle as much as they need us cuz we bring out the best and the worst in each other. life without la sallites is oh so boring.
to eos:
binasa mo ba yun blog nya? nagpapadala sya ng pera para sa ‘business’ nila. it is really hard to trust somebody especially kung yung taong pinagkakatiwalaan mo is taong malapit talaga sayo..tsk!! maloko ka na ng illegal recruiter wag lang ng kaibigan or ‘lover’ mo, hehehe
to tikboy:
whoa!!! life without la sallites is oh so boring??? wehhh, talaga lang huh!
We missed you in UAAP Season 69. Kahit mga advertisers sa TV nag pull-out noon suspendido kayo. Last year fiesta mga scalpers pag kayo kalaban. This year it’s GO, ATENEO!
I don’t really know ’bout you guys, but in our neck of the woods, “TIM YAP” is an acronym: “T*** I***g Mukhang ‘Yan, Ang Pangit!”
Lol…
These filthy (literally) rich kids deserve this cross slammed onto their shoulders hahaha.
