LIVIN’ LA BIDA LOZADA

17 02 2008

WHILE I TEND TO believe that Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada Jr. could in fact be telling the truth, I do not consider myself as a fan. For all we know, he’s made millions for himself as consultant for other onerous government projects or transactions. But that’s another story.

This morning, former President Corazon Aquino with the Ateneo and the De La Salle communities hosted a thanksgiving mass for Lozada.

This post was inspired by the outpouring of support for the man who would have approved the ZTE NBN deal anyway if brokers agreed to a 65 million dollar-kickback ONLY instead of a staggering 130 million dollars.

Top 5 Rumored Plans of an Unidentified Anti-Arroyo Cult to Show Its Undying Support for the Beleaguered Jun Lozada

5: Organize the “Jun Lozada Friendly Games” between the De La Salle Green Archers and the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Performing at half-time will be the 2007 UAAP Cheerdance Champs: The UP Pep Squad!

4: Seek the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines’ support for the “2 o’clock AM” habit – a daily pre-dawn prayer to commemorate Lozada’s 2am press conference at La Salle Greenhills.

3: Ask the La Salle Brothers to erect a statue of Lozada at the gates of La Salle Greenhills.

2: Citing his popularity, launch a signature campaign to persuade him to run for president in 2010.

And the No. 1 rumored plan of an Anti-Arroyo cult to show its undying support for the beleaguered Jun Lozada…

1: Submit to the Vatican an initiative for his beatification. The shepherd of the Australian goats will then be known as Blessed Jun Lozada.

Have a productive week!

The show of support of some anti-GMA groups along with Cory Aquino will not be enough to persuade us ordinary people to turn our backs against a working president. For all we know, the “evil” one is the best we had in 30 years and the only one was able to stir this country to a better economic condition. Nobody said she is perfect, but her performance is proof enough of her competence and capability to lead this country.

A working and effective president? We also said that of Marcos who made many firsts in putting our country in the economic landscape of Asia. History repeating itself? Not really. What Marcos has amassed in 20 years, thanks to an imeldific First Lady , GMA is fast outdoing him in 7 years– and in USD no less — with the Tazmanian of a First Gentleman who says “back-off” and ill at that!

It not bad to hear Blessed Jun Lozada or His Excellency President Jun Lozada. But those make me sick. LOL. Let’s give chance to poor old man. Even the dull and ignorant, they too have stories to tell.

please take note that nobody has yet directly linked the president to amassing wealth. but one thing is clear: she is a working and effective president, enough reason to let her finish her term. when she’s done, then let the full force of the law be used on her so she can go to prison. and please don’t insult our intelligence by comparing GMA to marcos. you can use some context, at least.

he is also a repentant sinner courtesy of his own admission that he once had ala Bill Clinton’s Monica Lewinsky and macho Filipinos admired those guys. my argument is how can we be truthful and loyal to public service if we cannot be faithful to a holy sacrament? FG may never admit a similar past but who am I to judge? maybe to quote that every saint has a sinful past and every sinner a saintly future can we unite this nation. GMA and Lozada in this season of Lent should forgive each other and see that all these faults is the cross that we Filipinos everyone of us to carry.

Say something...
